How would you describe your music to the world?

A melting pot of many different genres. Pretty much it’s the sound of four people playing music with our heart and soul. But the reaction we get at shows is “We are a wall of sound that hits you like a tonne of bricks”

When did you realise your musical potential?

Haha never, I just begged my parents for a guitar after hearing The Stooges. I never got lessons or learnt songs. Pretty much from day one I just started writing songs, hoping people will like them. So far its been going ok!

Any plans to tour? Release new music?

Yes, we are doing an East coast tour right now for our new single Who Made You God? We just played Adelaide and Melbourne. Next stop is Gold Coast and Sydney. We also plan to release another single soon and release an EP early next year.

When did you take your first big step into music?

The day I got my first guitar and strummed a chord. Been hooked every day since and will be for the rest of my life.

What does it mean to you to be representing Australian music?

It’s an honour really, Australian music has struggled to get where it is today. So it's great to be part of that and if we ever do get big or well known overseas, it will be an honor to carry on the legacy of all the bad ass mother fuckers before us who gave Australian music the green light.

What's your dream act to support?

Dinosaur Jr

Where do you hope to hear your music over the next 12 months?

On local Radios all over Australia, Triple J and it would be sweet to come home drunk/high as fuck on a Saturday morning and see us on Rage. We plan to release a music video soon for our brand new single ‘Who Made You God?’ so fingers crossed the dream comes true.

How does your role in music contribute to your bigger picture?

Well my role in the band is coming up with songs/riffs. So hopefully our new material will go off and get played on every media possible.

Which single moment would you look back on now that makes you proud?

Playing with Built to Spill at The Zoo on their last Australian tour. It was amazing to open for a band who influenced us as young musicians.

From where do you draw your inspiration to keep creating music?

Life really!! Instead of letting things get to me I just go home and let my emotions pour through my guitar. The same with our lyrics instead of reacting to the shit things humans do. We just write about instead.

What's one lesson you've learnt that you'd like to share with other aspiring musicians?

To be true to yourselves! Never let anyone tell you what to do or how to sound. And for all the female musicians out there fuck everyone else! You are as good, if not better than most males. When it comes to music there shouldn’t be any gender issues. It's music and that shits universal. When you listen to it you can't tell what sex is playing the guitar or drums can you? So why does that shit matter.
