where did your musical journey begin?

I was around 8 years old when I first saw Mariah Carey on TV! It was her MTV unplugged show in the 90’s. From that moment on I knew what I wanted to do with my life!

who is the inspiration behind your music?

I could never put my finger on just one or who. It’s more about the actual song for me, the music. Then I grow to love and appreciate the artist. A great melody and lyric gets me every time, of course the delivery as well. That inspires me to write! Sometimes I love a song so much, I wish I wrote it!

what do you hope to achieve through your music?

I want people to feel what I felt at the time with the lyrics and melodies I create. I want them to say, 'hey, that’s how I feel/felt.’ It’s so important for me to connect with people and of course drive them to want to learn every single lyric. The day I see someone has learnt one of my songs top to bottom, I think I would burst into tears of happiness!!

which music artists would you consider collaborating with?

I would love to work with Bruno Mars!

WHAT'S YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT TO DATE?

Completing my debut album with my best friend and one of the greatest producers of all time, Sergio Selim. When we both sat back and listened to what we created together, it was one of the greatest moments for the both of us!

WHICH MUSIC ARTISTS HAVE INFLUENCED YOUR MUSICAL STYLE?

I’m influenced by so many artists, thats way too hard to answer. I will say again though, it’s all about the song for me. If it gets me, it gets me.

how do you define success in the music industry?

A career of longevity is success to me. There are so many artists that come and go, but the ones that remain and stay relevant is success in the music industry.

WHERE WAS YOUR MUSIC FIRST PLAYED, AND HOW DID YOUR CAREER EVOLVE FROM THERE?

It grew organically through social media, Social media is such a powerful tool. Local radio stations across Australia are playing my music right now. I actually would love to give a shout out to everyone in Melbourne at 88.3 FM for being one of the first to play my music. It’s very humbling especially because I’m not even from there. I love and appreciate the support. It’s always that little more special when It’s close to home!

AS AN ARTIST, WHAT'S ON YOUR MUSICAL BUCKET LIST?

To keep creating!

WHAT WORDS OF WISDOM DO YOU HAVE FOR UPCOMING MUSIC ARTISTS?

With what I have learnt so far, have a strong and stubborn mind. There are gonna be so many people that doubt you and sometimes you want to give up, but those are the times when you need to be strong and stubborn and refuse to believe in the doubt that surrounds you constantly! Just keep going!
